Aidan would love to hear that was his rep. Part of me seethed to know who these other conquests were, and then I mentally rolled my eyes. Right, priorities, I was currently locked up.
“Confidence in a villain is normally their downfall,” I muttered, glancing around the underground cell with reinforced bars. There was a BDSM rig in the corner that forced the person to kneel uncomfortably leaning back as their wrists were restrained to their ankles and their neck was cuffed to the pole coming out of the metal base.
“Yes, I’m going down,” she chuckled. “More like you and on anyone we want. You’ll be just as pathetic as the other bitches we keep and rent out, begging for any attention or chance to feed.”
I glanced back at her now that I was done with my assessment. “I wonder how much worse you’d be if blood was withheld from you? I mean, feral bitch comes to mind first, but I wonder how much worse it could get?”
And another slap for that.
“Don’t damage the merchandise,” the guy in the doorway snapped.
“Yeah, yeah, that means you don’t get to sample her either,” she warned as she pushed to her feet. “They want her fresh and unused for the councilman. The party starts soon so just leave her.” She chuckled at me. “You’re lucky that you took so long to come back around and can get a nice councilman to break you in. The others had days of anyone in the coven who wanted to fuck before their first party.”
“We’ll get her after so whatever,” the guy drawled. “Don’t make us sound like mindless, hormonal idiots.”
“Aren’t all men?” I asked at the same time Tahnee did. I chuckled darkly. “Well, we finally found something we actually agree on.”
She gave me a funny look. “We agreed on a lot. What are you talking about?”
“Yeah, sure we did.”
She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, yeah, I tricked you so it was all a lie. Whatever, you’re a fucking lust demon, give your righteous indignation to someone who gives a shit.”
“Oh, I will,” I purred, making kissy faces at her as they left my cell and he locked me in.
“Yeah, get those lips ready because I’m going to fuck your face so hard you pass out from lack of air.”
“It’s his thing,” Tahnee chuckled. “You’ll enjoy it because you need the feed.”
“Even desperate to feed I still wouldn’t enjoy that with someone so ugly,” I drawled, glancing at the seriously butt ugly guy. “Did your mama drop you a few too many times on the head or what? Prostitutes wouldn’t even do you for money so you have to kidnap hungry lust demons to finally get laid?”
He shot Tahnee a dirty look when she snickered before focusing on me. “Laugh it up. You’ll get everything I’ll give you and soon.”
Well, he would try in minutes from the look in his eyes, which was what I wanted. I didn’t want to wait until Aidan showed up for the party to start.
They left, and I glanced around again and found the camera. Right, they would trap him with a tape thinking this was all a ploy or scene and really he was doing kidnapped demons. I’m sure that had worked before. I struggled in my bonds, playing the game but really wanting the camera on my other side in case someone was watching.
It didn’t take me long to do it seamlessly. I angled my neck and brought my shoulder to my lips, taking a painful bite of my skin to break the dampeners on my power. It returned to me with a rush that made me have to swallow a gasp. I was instantly healed from the potion and clear headed. Hungry, but manageable like normal.
Well, not lately normal. Lately I’d been feeding from the angels so I was always pretty sated. A lust demon would never not be horny way more often than most supes and certainly humans, but I wasn’t desperate and hungry anymore.
I did the same with my other shoulder, and that was when I could sense the other demons there. There was at least a dozen, maybe more further down the line. I gave my power a few moments to settle and fully return before focusing on the steel restraints they had on my wrists and ankles.
“Pride gets people every time,” I muttered as I broke the chains. Fine, that would hold a drained demon under a hundred, but the hunter should never get too full of themselves, as that was normally when they got mauled by the bear.
I snorted, thinking of my own snuggly bear who was going to seriously tear into some fuckers. Honestly, I was a bit curious why they hadn’t stormed the dungeon already for me. The plan was to do that after I got here and freed everyone and then caught all the assholes who knew and tried to buy demons the next day.
So what had happened, and what was the new plan? Elijah would never sell me out, and I really believed Dylan wouldn’t either.
I didn’t think Aidan would or at least not like this where I was a slave. Probably not.
The guy came back a few minutes later and with a friend, smirking at me like I was about to get it. Yeah, I was going to get something all right. The moment they had the door open, I jumped to my feet and grabbed them both, thrusting my power into them so they were completely besotted with me.
“Grab that fun rig,” I said after a second of thought. “And show me where the other demons are.”
They nodded and took me to a huge room with fifteen lust demons strung up with steel restraints locking not just their wrists but their whole bodies. They had five digit numbers hanging around their necks like I’d seen the paintings at the last event have for pricing.
“Set down the rig and then fuck him like you wanted to fuck me,” I ordered the guy. I used just a bit of glamour to make him see me, knowing I had to do it sparingly.
He jumped right to it, and I plucked up his keys, unlocking my broken restraints before moving to the first demon who was begging me to fuck her, to just feed her. I swallowed down tears, knowing that feeling, that desperation for any chance to feed.
“We’re getting you out of here,” I promised as I gently got her out of the rig. I set her on the floor and pushed her hair off her forehead. “Feed. Feed from those assholes.”
“It’s not enough, please, please fuck me,” she begged, reaching for me.
“I can’t,” I muttered, pulling away. I wasn’t going to explain to her that I was the rescue and I needed the strength I had to make sure we got out. I saw the radio the guy had brought with him and came up with a new plan. I picked it up and held it up to the guy who was already balls deep in the other vampire who he thought was me or really didn’t even care. “Call a few friends to help you.”
He nodded and did it, groaning which sounded a bit like he was in pain, not having fun. Which worked because he said I got past him when he tried to lock me up for the councilman and get me warmed up and I was running around in the dungeon somewhere.
Yup, that would work.
While we waited I helped release two more of the demons, the second grabbing me and having enough sanity through her hunger to make sense. “They’ll die, right? You’ll kill them all for doing this to us?”
“I promise.”
“Then let us fuck them so the feed is greater,” she offered.
“You’re sure?”
“Oh, yeah, I want to drain them and we’re hungry enough we can,” she seethed.
“Alright.”
I helped her to the ground and then when two vampires showed up I went to them and laid my power on them, offering the first to that demon who’d suggested it. Another caught on and told me to let her help so she got the second guy. He helped her down after I unlocked the restraints, and she rode him like a champion to get the energy they could all feed from.
“What are you doing?” someone hissed from behind me as I freed the last one.
“No, he’s with us,” I called over to one of the demons who looked about to go at Aidan. I blinked at him. “How are you here?”
“I asked where you were, and the head of the coven and his lieutenant brought me through the portal to you,” he explained. “I knocked them out.”
“Bring those fuckers here and let us feed,” one of the demon
s seethed.
“They’ll drain them,” I agreed.
“We need the coven leader,” he muttered. “It might be the only way to make this stick. They didn’t have anyone on the council, they were trying to trick me into being their ace if you will.”
“Yes, apparently you’re known as letting his penis rule him and fairly dense otherwise.”
He frowned. “Not sure that’s fair, but my previous PA clearly gave that impression of me to scare off women it seemed.”
“Give us the lieutenant,” that first demon demanded. “We deserve at least him for what he specifically did to us! He was the one who…” She trailed off when I shot her a look, nodding she got it.
Yeah, no one needed to know there was a drug developed that could knock us out and drain us. I went for the lieutenant and dragged him back to the demons, letting them get the vengeance they deserved.
“You got things here?” I asked Aidan.
“What? Where are you going?” he asked, glancing around at the crazy and not really getting it all. “We had to change the plan because you were out and Mason said you were and they weren’t hurting you. We can trap everyone involved easier now since you were safe.”
I nodded that helped fill in the pieces at least. I glanced at the demons. “I’ll be back and we’ll get you out of here. I’m going to get Tahnee before she can slip away.”
“Destroy that whore,” one of them demanded.
“Oh, I plan on it,” I chuckled as I turned and headed for the portal I could feel. Aidan was right on my heel, taking my hand as I went through the portal so we were together. I didn’t want him associated with my Cara cover, so I shook my head and dropped his hand. “Don’t be involved yet, trust me.”
“Always,” he agreed, giving me a nod to do my thing as he hung back.
I stormed into the main room of the party, ignoring the gasps when people saw me in my dirty clothes, a bit of blood on my shoulders that had healed. I raced right to Tahnee and spun her to face me before she even realized I was there. Grabbing her by the throat, I lifted her off the ground, smirking at her.
“For the record, yes, the demons have organized and you’re fucked, as you are the world’s worst spy who led me to all the kidnapped demons, bitch.” I tossed her to the floor, breaking a few bones I did it so hard. I glanced around the room and let my power out and not a cute coaxing but hitting them to want me and whatever I said. “Who’s involved? Who knew what was going on here?”
“Me,” a few dozen vampires and men answered, others just raising their hands.
“Tonight Tahnee is on the menu. Who wants her first? Who wants to make me happy and give me a show?”
The first vampire was on her before I could even blink, ripping off her dress and getting his fly undone as she screamed.
“Karma’s a bitch, but demons won’t just take an eye for an eye, we’ll take two for the one you did,” I purred, smiling evilly at her quick, panicked glance.
She was a bit busy after that.
The ones who weren’t involved were still feeling my power and moved over to me, asking me what I needed, what they could do for me… Including Bain.
“I was seriously worried,” he whispered as he cupped my face and checked me out. “They hurt you?”
“Nothing a nice whiskey won’t fix,” I told him. “Just a few smacks when I landed verbal hits on Tahnee.”
He swallowed loudly and glanced over to where she was being destroyed by all the men involved. “Yeah, she’s getting hers.”
“No, that’s not even close to what she deserves,” I growled, his eyes filling with shock. “They’ve had the first demons for over a year, Bain. These parties are once a week and the coven got them anytime they wanted in between. A week of being starved is—you can’t know what that’s like to a demon, the scars those demons will carry. One night of her own medicine does not even rival what she did.”
I turned on my heel and headed for the back area again, hoping they had my stuff and namely my phone there. I didn’t care if Bain didn’t agree or judged me. This was who I was, and I wouldn’t ever apologize for it. A woman who sold other women into being sex slaves absolutely deserved to know what that felt like as a start to her punishment.
Abso-fucking-lutely.

“We have a serious fucking problem,” I told Elijah when he showed up. “They developed a drug to knock out demons and drain them. I was like human weak and starving before I bit into your dampeners. It was—a drink. I had a drink and they had me. That was it. They’re going to sell it. I don’t know we can let the vampire council find out about it, and Aidan wants to hand the coven leader over to them.”
“Calm down,” he whispered when I started to have a panic attack. “Focus on me, child. We can do this.”
“They’ll get me. I’ll be trapped and caged again,” I rasped, dark spots filling my vision as I realized I’d almost had my worst nightmare happen. “It was so easy.”
“We’ll get it all. Take me to the coven leader so I can handle this,” he said.
I nodded, having him help me stay on my feet as I brought him to the portal.
“What’s wrong with her?” Aidan demanded as he joined us. “What did you do?”
“Panic attack,” I wheezed, my vision getting dark. “Adrenaline wore off from the escape and now panicking what I almost went through. Can’t be trapped. Can’t ever be caged again.” I chuckled as he took me from Elijah. “I had a panic attack with you that night and after you found me again. You knew my secret, wanting to use me because of it, and then trap me.”
“That wasn’t what I wanted at all,” he murmured, lifting me into his arms. “I got you.” We went through the portal after Elijah, and I found myself leaning into Aidan instead of running away from him.
“Who’s that?” Elijah asked of the vampire knocked out on the floor of the cell I’d been in.
“The coven leader,” Aidan answered. Faster than I could blink, Elijah was in the cell and smashed the vampire’s head in with a stomp. “Well, I thought we should bring him to the council to answer questions, but that’s a moot point now.”
Elijah gave him an innocent and confused look. “What’s to ask? They were holding demons against their will and keeping them as sex slaves. Now he won’t grease any palms and get out of paying for his crimes.”
I relaxed a bit. Good, now as long as we got their computers and found the lab, there was no chance of anyone else getting the drug. Elijah shot me a look that we were on the same page and we’d burn it all to the ground before we let anyone get that drug.
Aidan set me on my feet when I asked since I was calm now. I hurried over to the first demon and checked how she was doing.
“Better, much, much better,” she whispered, bobbing her head as she stared down at the vampire she and the others had drained. “Thanks for coming. I just wanted to find a place I’d be safe. They promised we’d be safe with them.”
“I know,” I murmured as I took off the guy’s shirt and slipped it over her shoulders. I pulled off his undershirt and tossed it to Elijah to give to someone else, as Aidan already had his jacket. “I remember being desperate to find the same. We’ll keep you safe.”
“No one can help demons,” she rasped.
“That’s changed, I promised,” I swore to her, feeling better for the first time that we let the cat out of the bag. I’d been so focused in my part and how dangerous that could be for the others we protected, but now I realized it also gave those out in the cold some hope. “Let’s get you out of here and to our safe house.”
“Who are you?” she whispered.
“She’s our MVP that saves those who need it,” Elijah praised as he slid off his shirt and handed it to someone. Someone else already had his pricey suit jacket, but he would never care about something like that.
Neither did Aidan since he was naked from the waist up, carrying a demon who wasn’t strong enough yet.
“Let’s go show you the f
un Tahnee’s having,” I said to them, giving an evil grin. I had to carry one of them along with Elijah, but the rest made it themselves or with help from those who’d gotten enough of a feed.
“We need to burn this place to the ground,” one of them muttered.
“We will,” Elijah and I said at the same time.
We came out the other side of the portal, and rage filled me as I set down the demon I’d been carrying. I stormed over to where ISLE agents had interfered and pulled guys off of Tahnee. I shoved several aside with a snarl.
“She deserved that!” I snapped.
“We don’t let other crimes be committed in front of us,” one of them threw right back.
“Stop me, I fucking dare you. This was our investigation we let you in on.” I grabbed Tahnee by the hair and dragged her over to the corner, swarmed by her desire to be saved by ISLE or the other vampires who were coming in. “No one’s saving you, bitch. You’ve got one chance for a quick death, but you’re dying, trust me.”
“No, you can’t do this,” she sobbed. “They’ll save me.”
“I’ll squash them if they try,” I promised loud enough for the ones who might be thinking to try it. I leaned in and whispered under my breath. “Tell me where the lab is and what I need to destroy the drugs and I’ll kill you quick; otherwise I’ll kill you slowly.”
She didn’t answer at first, and as much as I wanted to use my power, I didn’t have enough time to risk it that her mind wouldn’t get cloudy and unfocused. “Go ahead. Someone will come over here and save me and I’ll tell them. ISLE will set me free or the vampire council will to get those—”
I broke her kneecap before she finished the rest of that sentence, her scream echoing in the room.
“Try it and we’ll squash you,” Kyle threatened, and a wall of demons moved around us.
I grabbed her face when she started crying for help, crushing a bone in her cheek and promising I would break each bone one at a time until she died. She must have seen the determination in my eyes or something that made her believe me because she told me.
